![]() Show times are as follows: Tuesday through Friday at 10 a.m. What a summer treat this is for the whole family!ĭr Seuss’s The Cat in the Hat is presented on the Mainstage Theater, through June 12 to July 20, 2014. My children were amazed as they watched their favorite book come to life on the stage. The Cat in the Hat has plenty of tricks to keep you on your toes. It is wonderful that this classic children’s book is brought on stage at Center for Puppetry Arts. All the puppets were made at the Center for Puppetry Arts plus all the character voices are live and made by the cast. Adapted and originally directed by Katie Mitchell, Center for Puppetry Arts production is directed by Jon Ludwig. Based on the book by Dr Seuss, this play was originally produced by the National Theatre of Great Britain. The Henson family donated between 500 and 700 pieces to the center, a portion of which will be on display, then rotated out every six months.“It is fun to have fun, but you have to know how!” says the cat in the tall red and white hat. The exhibit is split into two sections: The Global Collection and The Jim Henson Collection. The Center for Puppetry Arts opened the permanent Worlds of Puppetry exhibit in November 2015.
